I had my first meet-someone-from-the-internet-in-real-life experience this past weekend! I really had no idea what to expect! I mean, it could have been like that music video, where the really scary big lady with the dirty night gown and cigarette clutched in her teeth, is ironing while pretending to be a sweet lil' thang talking on the naughty 1-800 lust line and collecting $4.99 a minute- I really didn't wanna be that guy- feel me? I mean, you just have no idea really who's behind the monitor! How much of your exposed soul have they actually read; in public domain? I mean I write this stuff; I know someone is reading it, but when someone, is no longer some anonymous ROTFL comment, should it be all cool or creepy? I mean, it could go either way, right!?

Only one way to find out!! I hopped on a ferry with Mexico Way; destination Isla Mujeres and the blogger blowout. The ferry is fun- live band and everything! The band has it pretty easy actually, they really only need to know 3 songs; that's about how long it takes to get to the island.

Isla guy (who BTW- is from *gasp* MINNESOTA- ok we had a bonding moment it's true! My first fellow MN-er I've met here and ironically he introduced me to another one as well! Wowzers! There's a whole little scanda-who-vian community on Isla Mujeres??) organized the blogger blowout.

*big ol MN smootchy at ya Isla Guy!
He had quite a few events planned for the weekend- I only was able to attend the Friday night dinner (well yeah I did manage to hang in there for a couple of cocktails too -just enough to see the Sithteenth Chapppel -yep, how it's spelled, is pretty much how it was painted -lol) and Saturday golf cart tour.
So Friday, Miss Mexico Way (btw- have I mentioned that she is all pop-up-y?) and I got off the ferry and moseyed on to the par-tay Mr. Isla Guy had arranged for us (seriously balloons and everything y'all!) and guess what else... everyone was soooooo super cool! There were some people there who's blogs I had never read and some I had, some who I already knew from just living here, and everyone was awesome!
I, unfortunately, am so not awesome, I didn't bring my camera on Friday- I know, I know, don't yell at me, it doesn't change anything- I still have no pictures from Friday! Sorry- now you're gonna have to go and check out all the links for all my new BFFs if you wanna see what all went down! (or if you want a peek at the Sithteenth Chapppel- or FIRE BOY!!) Even though I am a seriously crappy blogger –we had a great time getting to know each other.
Here's a list of all the cool folk that came to hang this weekend- check 'em out they's my new BFF's - shhhhhhh don't tell them, they don't know it yet- don't wreck the surprise lol!

Cancun Canuck and Mexico Way heart Flat Stanley too- the ladiez were apparently seen in a tree at one point on Saturday, yeah, you got it K-I-S-S-I-N-G... haha! JK
*Check the hat- I mean how can ya get cuter than that?
*Hey you- Blah blah blah Ginger- I am soooo gonna yard crash you!
We cruised the Isla- it was so much fun! I have to say, it is a good time no matter how many times you've already done it, but even more fun when you are hanging with someone who hasn't done it before- did that sound weird..? anyway- Heather in Paradise hadn't been to the south side of the island so it was fun to hear her go on about how, "beautiful n s#!t" it is. LOL! We paused for a potty break-

hahahahahhaa! And Heather in Paradise took the opportunity to strike a Bettie Mae Paige pose for me! It must be love, right!?

I am apparently much better at taking pics of stuff than peeps cuz I missed getting photos of the whole rest of the gang! Jeez! I blame the full moon! I did get some shots of our little animal friends... we made a stop at the Turtle farm...

Awwww ain't he sweet!? And he goes coo-coo for Coco Puffs!

And there was this cool dock...

We drove to the Garfon look out...

and then on to the south part of the island
Oh yes we love coconuts around these here parts in case you didn't already know from previous posts! Doh- and wait- is it ...is it...is that… Life's a Beach walking away from the cocos frios??

Hey- that's Taco Girl in the background trying to get a good shot of- I dunno!

an iguana maybe...??

The goddess Ixchel- Mayan goddess of fertility -I'm not sure which blog is hers lemme get back to ya on that one...

We drove up the open water side of the island. It really is "Beautiful n s#!t"! Really! Here is a crumbling something along the way- just too pretty to not photograph!

And we even found a good sale on seashells. Stock up- they're going like hotcakes!
Seriously- she sells sea shells by the sea shore.
I'm not even lying!
I always thought that was just silly thing to say, but apparently it is a career option- who knew…?
What a fantabulous time meeting everyone and cruising around the island! I can't wait 'till next year to do it again!! Just wait until I get to know this cool group of peeps better- my new BFFs! Whoo Hoo! Boy are they in for it! Muahahahahaha!
Look out BFFs I have a tent and a bike and I’m coming to your yard for slumber par-tay!!
