Yep, it's that time of year again!! Show some love for your favorite beach! While enjoying the amazing turquoise blue of the Caribbean sea pick up some trash.
I always think it's so nice that people (like you) have the desire to keep the planet looking neater. Here we have the highway litter clean-up volunteers. I wish more people would care enough to take care of our environment. Some places are just discusting... so congrats on doing a good thing.
Bert- I think the highway crews aren't exactly volunteers, they usually have on orange jump suits.
The real unfortunate thing is that all we are really doing is moving garbage from one place to another- not really getting to the root of the problem: producing too much garbage.
Either way its nice to be on a beautiful trash free beach!
Misliz - Good point... soon the ice and snow will prevent beach cleanup here in MInnesota.
Lisa - Ha ha,, yes, I've seen a few orange jumpsuits too, but on the big highways/freeways various companies and individuals or families sign up to take care of certain portions...the hiway dept posts signs with the volunteers names. The orange jump suits don't need signs, we know who they are...lol.
